AUDIOCENTER Chosen for World Ambassador Club

A selection of AUDIOCENTER equipment has been installed into the newly-opened World Ambassador Club in Ipoh, Malaysia, providing tailored audio coverage throughout.

MALAYSIA: A selection of AUDIOCENTER equipment has been installed into the newly-opened World Ambassador Club in Ipoh, Malaysia, providing tailored audio coverage throughout. The manufacturer’s solutions were chosen by project installer, Southern Pacific Shd Bhd, and supplied through Malaysian distributor, AV Electronics Marketing Shd Bdn.

Transformed out of an old cinema, the nightclub boasts a large dancefloor with a nearby VIP area and first floor chill-out lounge, each of which has received a different audio solution. Complementing the dancefloor’s dazzling lighting display, the main installed system comprises left-right hangs of six AUDIOCENTER V-HLA12+ two-way cabinets. The addition of eight SW218 dual-18-inch subwoofers reportedly allows the system to output low frequencies effectively down to 30Hz. Away from the dancefloor, a mezzanine houses the VIP area. The aim for this was to provide a secluded and private area with the same sound quality as on the dancefloor. The manufacturer’s K-LA28 line array was selected for this purpose with three clusters of two K-LA28 and a K-LA815B deployed. The venue also houses a chill-out zone that simultaneously serves as the early evening meeting place, before guests move onto the dancefloor around midnight. The lounge is served by two TS15 DSP controlled loudspeakers and two TS-118SW subs. Now that the system has been installed, the feedback from the venue owners has been great. They are reportedly ‘delighted with the high level of control, high SPL and even coverage across all areas, and praise the Southern Pacific team behind the project.
